Our Style
A typical class at NY BJJ is broken in 3 parts. First the students perform a series of drills designed to both warm up the body for the upcoming workout and to prepapre the body for the various movements that the class will entail.
In the second part of the class students are taught a technique by the instructor. In this clip Professor Marcos Santos teaches a takedown and submission.
The final component is sparring. Here the students practice their techniques against each other in a free flowing manner.
