At New York Brazilian Jiu Jitsu , we promise to put all of our skill and attention into providing your child the highest level of true martial arts instruction in the area’s cleanest, safest and friendliest environment.

We have a professional staff of patient instructors who love to work with children, but are also clear about limits. We enforce rules of good behavior in class, and we expect the same good behavior from our HERO KIDS at home and in school. Progress at our academy actually requires it!

Our program teaches practical, proven self-defense methods. From peaceful conflict practice to the most advanced martial arts techniques, our HERO KIDS are taught that their personal safety comes first. Our children are also taught that the moves they learn in class work, so they don’t go home and try them on their family members and family or friends.

But most importantly is that we have found that in our  martial art program, children have an increased sense of responsibility, a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks, and a higher sense of self-confidence , too. That is why parents are using martial arts to supplement their children’s academic education these days.

Our classes are broken down by age group and belt rank so you can rest assures that your child will be learning safely in the right environment, at the right speed.
